How-To
I first made the embossed impressions of the shapes that I wanted to use directly onto the card bases by using my machine's erequired mbossing plates sandwich. This gave the card base a beautiful embossed impression of the die shapes. I also die-cut another set of these die shapes from golden designer papers. These second set of cuts will later get placed over the embossed impressions created on the card bases.
I also die-cut a third set of the die shapes that will be set aside for another project. I only needed to use the negative spaces as a mask to spray adhesive through the negative openings of each shape. The adhesive will hold the ultrafine glitter in place giving the embossed background pretty sparkle.
I then sprinkled the ultrafine glitter over the open areas.
After adding the glitter, I adhered the shaped diecut over the embossed impressions with a strong wet glue and placed a heavy acrylic block over this to help the cuts set-in. Sometimes it's tough to glue onto glitter, so this method works great.
The various mini expressions by Sue Wilson topped these notecards off perfectly. These beautiful Festive dies are not just for Holidays. Play around with the cuts to come up with different wys to use them. These will look so pretty in shades of gold for a fun set.
Hope to have inspired you today! :)
