Easter Chicks

Good morning friends~  Birgit here with you today with my final card for DRU.   My term with Dies R Us has come to an end so I'd like to thank Dani and Darlene for this wonderful experience of designing for them.  I've really enjoyed working with this amazing company and extremely talented team of designers!!
I also wanted to thank all the design team members for their encouragement and support.  I feel as though I've made some lasting friendships.

With Easter just around the corner I thought I'd give you a cute little chickie card to get you ready for spring.

Ready for some Easter goodness?  I started by cutting a white card stock panel using the beautiful Penny Black Border Edgers to give it that lacy edge.  I mounted it onto a piece of light blue card stock.

Next I created the background scene by cutting two Frantic Stamper Stitched Grassy Hill Edges and adhering them to a sky blue scrap of card stock.  I cut them using an Elizabeth Craft Stitched Rectangle.

I cut these adorable little Dies R Us Chicks out of printed paper and rubbed a bit of Mustard Seed Distress ink onto them.

I cut the word "Joy" using Impression Obsession Joy out of silver card stock.

Once the card front was assembled, I tied some spring green string around the panel to add more interest and texture to the card and adhered it to an A2 sized card front.

Here is a list of products I used that can be found at Dies R Us:
