Ann here today with two Thank You cards using a die that is fit for any season or occasion.
I was given this beautiful, intricate Swirly Thanks die made by Tutti Designs and couldn't wait to see what it looked like once it was cut out. This is my very first Tutti Design die. I have to admit that I normally shy away from dies that are too intricate based on past experience of having trouble getting the die to cut properly, even with a metal shim. But this die cut perfectly the very first time, and I cut it with a heavy glittered card stock. Now I seriously need to look into more of the Tutti Design dies.
For my first card above, I simply cut the die, layered it on black and gold card stock and adhered some red gems to the centers of the flowers. It made for a very quick card which would work great as an after-Christmas card, New Year's, wedding thank you or anniversary thank you card.
My second card, which is below, was made with the intention of showing you that the same die can be used on a more toned-down card for any time of year:
I cut the Swirly Thanks die twice, once in a darker shade of pastel green and again in a lighter shade so I could layer and offset them a little. Then I completely covered the entire die with a Wink of Stella pen.
The frame is the Sue Wilson Pacific Ocean Collection - Background die. This has become one of my favorite dies for framing a card. It, too, cuts out perfectly the first time for being such a detailed die. The Swirly Thanks fits just right inside the frame too.
Now I can't wait to make more Thank You cards with this die.
