I really enjoy making handmade flowers and using this Elizabeth Craft Designs set gave me 3 different types of flowers ... how cool is that!  Here's how the fun played out . . .

I have a 12x12 clear box full of white card stock off cuts that I use for a lot of my die cutting.  Then I color  to match my card design.  Today as you can see by the photos, I'm using 3 Tim Holtz distress inks for both my flower colors and my background panel on the front of my card.

Once my petals are all die cut I then apply the ink with a sponge dauber.  Next I flip them over, spritz them lightly with water and start conditioning them with my stylus.
First each petal on the back of the flower then push down in the middle on the front of the flower ... this gives them wonderful shape.  Then all you have to do is 'stack' them by alternating each petal layer ... largest on the bottom to smallest on the top!   Once I have them positioned on my card front, I decide what I want to use in the center.  Today I decided to use white 3d paint topped with Deco Art Glamour Dust.

Aren't they pretty?

Once I started laying out my card design, I decided to only use 2 sets vs 3 but that's okay ... now I have a set all ready for another project ... another day!

Here's a close up of the flowers on my finished project.

Since I decided to add an EXTRA color to my background panel,
I decided to make my 'fern stems' the same color by simply sponging that ink onto another scrap of white card stock before die cutting ... Viola!!
