Sending Hugs

Hello, Alicia with you today.  I have several cards I created with the Altenew Gradient Stripes die.  This die really lends itself to using the negative pieces.  Therefore, it works great in creating many cards in one sitting.  I used pattern paper to make the cards even more interesting.

All of the cards use Quick Quotes double sided designer paper, using double sided papers is another great way to stretch the negatives.  This first card uses the inside of a pattern paper.

This card uses the outside filled with a more solid but still patterned paper.  I used a coordinating solid paper to die cut the sentiment.

This card uses the same paper collection with a different paper.

Another view.  I just love how the inlaid pieces fit perfectly.

Say what... a spider wreath?!

Hello, crafty Dies R Us fans! Leslie here from Love To Scrap 2 and I’m delighted to be back on the blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun Halloween card featuring a wreath created with the amazing Birch Press Design Roundabout Layer Set in black, orange and yellow, with eeeky spiders!

This was a super fun one, so let's get started!

1. Cut the wreath layers using the Birch Press Design Roundabout Layer Set from black, orange and yellow cardstock.

2. Assemble the wreath, add spider sequins with tiny orange gemstones, and set it aside.

3. Cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and an inside layering panel from white cardstock. Cut front and inside layering panels and embellishing strips from orange cardstock. Cut front layering panel and strip along with an inside embellishing strip from Halloween patterned paper. Grab a roll of Halloween washi tape.

4. Adhere front layering panels and strips together, add washi tape, and adhere wreath. Adhere inside embellishing strips to left side of white layering panel, then adhere to orange layering panel.

5. Stamp front and inside sentiments in black ink.

6. Adhere front panel to front of card base, and add three orange gemstones to the bottom. Adhere inside panel to inside of card base, and your fun Halloween card with eeeky spiders is complete! ;)

Sue WIlson Shaker Card

Hi Dies R Us friends!! Today I am sharing an easy shaker card featuring a Sue Wilson Die. I hope you like it!

What I Used to Make this Card:
White Card Base
KaiserCraft Paper Pad, Rose Avenue, 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" {retired but available}
Sue Wilson Expressions Die, Hello, #CED5401 {out of stock, but this will work as well}
White Card
Foam Tape, doubled
Filler from Stash

This was an easy shaker card to make since the die I chose was rectangular; the hardest part

was cutting the foam tape!  I have a huge roll of foam tape I bought years ago at a convention and I consistently forget I have it; well, this time I remembered! Since the shaker fill has some little gems in it I doubled the foam tape, sticky side to sticky side, then cut it in about half to fit around the die thus allowing enough height for the fill to shake and not get stuck.  I chose sequins, gems and sparkly bits that didn't clash with the paper I covered the card base with. Once I made the shaker part of the card using the die cut, acetate, foam tape and the fill, I attached it to the base that I had covered with a pink paper with a geometric design lightly embossed on it, very pretty I think and the photos don't do it justice.

I certainly hope you enjoyed my card and that will encourage you to pull out some of your dies and make a card to join in on the monthly challenge; just be sure the die you use is from one of the companies Dies R Us carries {shouldn't be difficult, they carry everything!} and join in the fun!  Take care and stay safe! Until next time, Christi

Nine Patch & Leaf Thank you Card

Hello Dies R Us Fans,

Diane here to share a sweet Fall Thank you card using the Impression Obsession Scalloped Nine Patch die along with the Fall Mini Leaves die.  Fall is my very favorite time of year.  I love walking outside and feeling the crisp, fresh, cool, clean air.  I enjoy all the colors of Fall too.  The deep red, sun-kissed orange, bright yellow and all tones of brown... Amazing!

Come see what I created today...

Card Recipe:

This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (A2 size)  I began with a white 110 lb card base measuring 4 1/4 x 11 and scored it in half at 5 1/2.

Then I selected lots of Fall solid colored cardstock from my scrap bin.  Using the Mini Leaves die, DIE095-D by Impression Obsession I cut my leaves.

Next, I selected my back ground paper for my card.  I decided on a navy with white poka dots.  Then using the Scalloped Nine Patch die, DIE934-ZZ, I cut it out of 110 lb white cardstock and the navy paper.  This die cuts out the outer frame, the window frame and all the little squares.  I didn't use the white little squares, but instead replaced them with the navy squares using Scotch tape on the underside.  I kept the white two frames together using Scotch tape also.  Next, I popped up the Nine Patch using some foam tape.

Then I added all the pretty die cut leaves in the center of some of the windows.

Next, I stamped my sentiment.  I used "fired brick" Distress Ink along with the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings stamp.  Cut my sentiment into a strip, added a flag tail and adhered it to my card.  Using a couple of the larger leaves, I adhered them to the front of my sentiment and finished it with a golden sequin.

That's it.  An easy fun card to make.

Here is a photo of the supplies I used:

Fairy Forest Greetings

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Lisa here, sharing a fun fairy card!  I am SO in love with Fairy Hugs products!  I used so many to make this card along with dies from Memory Box.

I gathered my supplies and couldn’t wait to start playing!

The Fairy Hugs papers have a kind of slick or shiny finish to them, so I stamped my images with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  I let it sit for about an hour and then checked it and the ink was dry.  Yay!

I forgot to show in my first photo the Cuttlebug folder I used for my foil layer.

I hope this card inspires to get your fairy on with all of the fun and amazing stamps, papers and dies that Dies R Us carries.  --Lisa

Adriana Pop Up Easel Card

Hi everyoneSteph Ackerman here today wishing you a Happy Autumn.

Autumn is my time of year.  I love it.

This Poppy die was perfect to create a wonderful Fall themed card.

This die comes with everything you need to create a Pop Up Easel Card.  It even folds flat to fit in a standard envelope.

Creating a card from green cardstock with the base die and the second layer, I then die cut the top layer from a script paper.   I inked this layer with Distress Inks in green, brown and red to simulate the colors of fall.

Using oval dies, I die cut 2 layers, stamping the phrase on the top layer.
The card was assembled with foam adhesives between the layers for dimension.
