Oh Gnome Cards

Hi everyone, Steph back with another project for Dies R Us.
I've got a fun set of Gnome cards to share with you today.

I began by stamping and die cutting a number of elements from this collection, being sure that I had enough for both cards.  I added color with assorted Copic Markers.

Next, I die cut two of the rectangle dies.  This gave me two pieces from which I created my cards.

White cardstock was die cut  to create the mountains and then the edges were inked with distress ink.

Assembling my card, I added a blue background before matting to black cardstock.  Then I adhered the cute elements to the card and assembled my card.

Then I used the left over elements to create my second card.

CONGRAT'S CARDS

Hello Wendy here with a fun set of Congrat's cards for a NEW Baby...I decided to use all the same materials and paper just in different colors

I created the babies using the dies set from Frantic Stamper ...I thought it would be cute to pp their heads up for added dimension .... the word die is from Impression Obsession and the perfect size for a card front ...adding the babies on clouds tied in the scene with the designer paper I chose

Have a Wild Birthday | Lawn Fawn Stamps & Dies

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday! I'm here today with a cherry and playful birthday card using the Lawn Fawn Wild For You stamps and dies. I've always had a hard time doing scene type cards. If you're like me, my favorite hack is just a simple ink blended ground and sky instead.

For this background I simple blended some green oxide ink towards the bottom and some blue above it, then wet the whole thing by misting the panel with water and letting it dry, as if I had watercolored it. I wasn't quite satisfied with it yet, it wasn't "party" enough, so I used assorted other oxide colors on my desk to create a splattering of confetti everywhere. I simply smooshed them onto my craft media mat, got them wet with water, and splattered them around until I was happy with the background.

When my background was fully dry, I heat embossed my sentiment along the bottom, and adhered my images that I had stamped, colored, and cut from the stamp set.

To finished I mounted the whole panel onto an a2 sized card base with foam adhesive, and there you have it!

For the Grad

Howdy and hello everyone!  Kristina Hein here with a little something for the graduate in your life!

It's been a long time since I made a pop-up box card but I thought this might be the perfect time.  Not only is my daughter graduating from high school but so is my stepson!  Yikes.  Things are bit chaotic around here.  I wanted to create a card that incorporated my daughter's school colors of orange and black.  I'm pleased with the results!

There are a ton of videos and tutorials out on the web that give you detailed instructions on how to create the basic card.  I'm not going to go into detail and just start with the basic box already created.

I started by cutting pieces of patterned paper to fit the tops of the flaps and the vertical sides of the box.  I sponged the edges with orange ink that matches the orange cardstock I planned to use.   I glued the paper onto the box.  Next I used the Grad Group Border die to cut out a piece of orange cardstock.  I did have to cut off one of the grads because it was too wide for the box.  I used liquid glue to adhere the grad die into place.

Next I cut out and assembled all of the die pieces I needed.  I used Blackboard Alphabet and Blackboard Numbers to cut out the letters and numbers that I needed.  I cut silver cardstock with the smallest die from the Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Banners dies.   I used the Karen Burniston Congrats word die set to cut the sentiments out of orange cardstock.  Here are all of my pieces ready to go on the box.

And here is the box after all of the pieces were glued into place!

I used pieces of acetate to extend my pieces up.  The balloon pieces were a little to heavy for just acetate so I added thin pieces of black cardstock as a support.  It worked out perfect because they look like balloon strings!

The great thing about these pop-up boxes is that they still fold flat for mailing.

The flat card measures approximately 5" x 7 1/4".  I hope I have inspired you to whip up a pop-up box or two.  Now, wish me luck.  I need to make at least one more graduation card!

Sea You Soon

Hello again! It's Lisa back with an underwater card using lots of die cuts and stamps from
Dies R Us. Today, I'm using Lawn Fawn, Impression Obsession, and the amazing ringlets from Memory Box. I just LOVE that it looks like bubbles.

This card was inspired by my girlfriend who is leaving for most of the summer...so I will sea her soon! LOL The sea plants are absolutely gorgeous! So much detail. All the adorable fish and shark are from Lawn Fawn, they are must haves for your fun underwater cards.

First, I started with the windy background and stitched rectangle. When you turn it sideways, I thought it worked well with the ringlets going upwards like bubbles and water.

I then used the stitched waves and stamped my sentiment on the bottom.

Die cut all the stamped images, the sea plants, ringlets and assembled on the card. I also used the stitched waves in the inside too.

Hope you were inspired today!
