Season's Greeting

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a fun holiday card. The season is here for us to start creating and send out cards to our friends and family.

For this card I created a simple scene of traveling for the holiday season. Using mostly Lawn Fawn products. This a simple die cutting and layers type card. ** Unfortunately I lost my step by step photos I hope my description of how I made this card is helpful.

I started by stamping the images from Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays stamp set. I stamped the car twice. I trimmed off the top have of the car to create a utility trailer. I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I trimmed 3 thin strips of gray card stock to create the gate for the trailer.

Next, I die cut 2 snow from white glitter card stock and 1 hill from black card stock using Lawn Fawn Hillside Border Die. I also die cut 1 Forest Border and 2 Simple Puffy Clouds. I set all my die cuts and colored images a side. Then, On light blue card stock using a bubble stencil and white dye ink I created a snowy sky.

I then assembled my card by layering  and adhering the tree border onto the blue card stock, next the snow hill, road and snow hill. Once I had all the background adhered in place. I then adhered the present onto the trailer. The tree onto the car and also attached the car and trailer together. Using foam adhesive placed the car and trailer onto the card front. Next, I adhered the 2 clouds to the card front layering them and using a bit of thin foam adhesive on the small cloud to give some dimension. For finishing I stamped the sentiment which I layered onto dark blue card stock and I added a few sequins.

Merry Christmas

Hello, fellow paper crafters!  It's Dawn with you today with my next post for Dies R Us.

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you.

Assemble the dies you are going to use and cut them out using cardstock of your choice.  I cut the tree out 2 times using green mirrored cardstock and once using Ivory pearl cardstock.  I cut the Merry Christmas out 2 times, once in green mirror cardstock and again in ivory pearl cardstock.

layer the 3 tree cutouts on top of one another, I used glue to adhere them together.

I cut my card base to 5 1/2" square.  I then layered a piece of  5 1/4" square green glitter cardstock on top of my card base.

I added my tree to the right side of the card front.

I then added the sentiment, I offset the 2 cut outs to show the ivory behind the green to make it stand out more.  I also added some gold dots to the center of each snowflake on the tree.

Just Because Shaped Card

Hello! This is America and I'm back to share a shaped card for my DT post today!

JUST BECAUSE

Here it is again in different lighting and background. This really shows off the dies detailing especially in this mirrored cardstock!
This beautiful "Claire" cutting die is great for the shape of a card base. Look at all the delicate detailing in this gorgeous cutting-die by Sue Wilson.  There are many tutorials on creating a shaped card base out there. For mine, I cut the shape three times, scoring the center cut at top by folding it over 1/8 inch and adhering it to the back pal which is the second cut. The third cut is adhered on top.
To create the flowers, I first cut these out of the CE Sky Blue Cardstock, then the CE Mirrored Cardstock. I bent each petal by rolling it and pressing it with my fingers over and around my stylus tool. These flowers were adhered with 3d glue dots for added dimension. They are layered one over another, (alternating the open and striped) in gold and in blue cardstock as seen on the flowers here.

The sentiment is multi-layered with 2 gold cuts, 2 sky blue cuts and one white die-cut. Doing this gives the sentiment great dimension and helps your sentiment stand out better - esepcially against a busy backbround.

Inked up Merry Christmas card

Colleen from Scrappin Granny sharing a new technique to make a beautiful Christmas card.

I wanted to use this new technique I just learned and make a Christmas card.  First pick out the stencil you would like to use.  Then you ink over the stencil.  I picked Candied Apple Distress Ink by Ranger.

The next step is to take your stencil and turn it, turn it any way you would like, pick another color of ink and ink over it.

I picked Vintage Photo ink by Ranger.

For a third color I used I used Mermaid Lagoon  and also inked along the edges.  I decided to only use 3 inks but if you want you could add another color.  This is my finished inking and mounted on cardstock.

I used Classic Butterflies and Flowers by Jeanine's Art to cut out the doily.

Next I used Holly Border by Yvonne Creations to cut out several borders.  I cut the borders behind the doily.

Next I used the Holly Jolly Merry Christmas by Yvonne Creations to cut out the sentiment and then back it with white cardstock.

The final touches were to add pearls to the doily and cut out vines using Vine by Tutti Designs.

I had so much fun creating this card and I hope you will give the technique a try.

Easy Christmas Cards

Tracy here with you today and I've got a couple of quick and easy Christmas Cards. That's what I love about dies! This time of year is always hectic getting ready for the holidays so if I can make some quick and easy cards that's a win-win for me!

Each one used only one die and then I just embellished them and added some washi tape.

For the first one I started with a white card base and then added a panel of green cardstock. I embossed a piece of white cardstock using an old Darice snowfall embossing folder and layered that on top of the green piece. The Merry Christmas was cut from green cardstock using a Tutti Designs die and then I just embellished each snowflake with some Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops. I also added a strip of washi tape across the bottom.  To adhere the die I used some ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever with the small No Clog Writing Cap.

For the second I again started with a white card base and added a panel of red cardstock. It doesn't show in the photo but the white panel on top of the red has a bit of sparkle in it. The  wreath die cut was cut from green cardstock using another Tutti Designs die. I then embellished the wreath with some Gilded Gold Stickles and some Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops, added a washi tape frame around it and stamped Christmas Wishes and the two stars in red. To adhere the die I again used some ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever with the small No Clog Writing Cap.

Products Used:

Tutti Designs - Dies - Merry Christmas

Tutti Designs - Dies - Holiday Wreath

Nuvo Crystal Drops - Gloss Red Berry

Stickles Glitter Glue - Gilded Gold

Best Glue Ever

Scraperfect - No Clog Writing Cap - Small

Snow Globe

Hi everyone! It's Doni here bringing you a Snow Globe Christmas card.

To start I stamped the images I wanted from the Lawn Fawn Ready- Set- Snow set,
Colored them with Copic markers and cut them out using the matching dies.

As you can see ( on the left side of the picture above), I also cut a mask from some thin white paper.
I used this to sponge the snow globe sky.

Next, just add the  finished stamped images to globe.

Now create a card front to add the globe onto. This is what I did:

 The finished card:

Below, you'll find the list of the dies I used with links to the Dies R Us Store for your convenience.
