For this A2 card I started with a piece of watercolor paper and some distress inks:
I placed the die on top of the blank watercolor paper and with a pencil marked where the sky and the water meet so I could do the two different background colors. I took my blending tool and applied Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade distress oxides to the top part of the card which is the sky. To the lower half that is the lake I applied Salty Ocean, Broken China and Peeled Paint distress oxideds and then I spritzed the whole piece of paper with water.
Once that was dry I I took the Impression Obsession Lake and Heron die and some Black Shimmer paper and cut it out and added that to the inked paper.
I trimmed the edges down with my personal trimmer and then added it to a piece of Aqua paper. I added that to the white card stock base of the card. I took some Black ink and the Happy Father's Day sentiment and stamped that onto the sky part of the card.
