Hot Dog!

Greetings, fellow crafters.  It's Julie with you today, sharing one of my favorite kinds of projects.  I used stamps and dies, plus a little Copic coloring.  Lots of my favorite things!  To make it better yet, it's a dog themed card, and I'm a huge dog lover.

Lawn Fawn makes some of the cutest stamps, and they have coordinating dies for many of those stamp sets.  I used one of these coordinating sets today:

This card uses Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and  Critters at the Dog Park coordinating die set.

Here's a photo of all the supplies I used.  I'l link them all at the bottom of this post:

I started out by inking a blue background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in 4 shades of blue (there are many shades of Distress Oxide Ink available in the Dies R Us Store.

Then, I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die to cut out the background.

Next, I wanted some "ground", or grass, so I cut another circle out of light green, then cut it about a 1/3 of the way down.

I stamped one of the dogs from the Critters at the Dog Park set, colored it with Copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out:

All that was left was to find some appropriate pet themed papers, assemble the card, add a bit of twine for trim, and my card was done!

Supplies used, found in the Dies R Us Store:

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.
