A Christmas Gift Box

Hello, Janice here with you again to share my latest project
made for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.

Today I have made a small Christmas gift box using the
Spellbinders - Square Petal Top Box Die and the Memory Box - Rizza Snowflake

This die makes a lovely box is suitable for filling with chocolates
or maybe even some pretty earrings or jewellery!
The boxes can be made of course for any occasion, in all sorts of card and papers
and have a tag and four embellishments to go with it.
(Apologies for the glare in the photos, holographic card is difficult to photograph!)

Here are a couple more I made for my great niece and nephew filled
with some Easter chocolates!

Here are the dies I have used:-

Hurry to the store before the Spellbinders Square Petal Top box die sells out!

Here are photos of the box in stages - cut and embossed, all parts folded with the
corners in place using double sided tape, and completely ready to fill!

Here is what the box looks like with the lid closed.

I cut two of the decorative embellishments in silver mirri card, and glued
them on opposite sides of the box.
I then cut a strip of mirri card for the box band a narrower strip of blue
card and glued them together.
Place the band over the top of the box and gently bend it over the edges of the box.
Before sticking the ends together, crease the marks with a bone folder to
make them more defined.

I cut the snowflake in silver mirri card and glued it to a smaller circle in the blue card.
I added this to the band using 3D foam pads.
The completed band ready for the box to be pushed through.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Check back daily for more great inspiration
from the girls on the design team.
