A Card for Mom

Since Mother's Day is just a few weeks away, I thought it was appropriate to show you the card I made for my Mother.

I started off with cutting the Sue Wilson Mini Gemini Die - Aquila at an angle on the top card panel.  I used both the swirled die and the outside frame die together.  This is what the die set looks like:

Then the fun part began..........making the Dandelion Clocks by Sue Wilson.  I absolutely love these flowers.   Each flower was made using three of the largest petal, three of the third largest petal, and three of the smallest petal.  That's nine petals per flower.    I ran a stylus over the centers of each flower to give them some dimension and added a flower pearl to the centers.

The petals cut out so easily with one swipe through my machine.  That made the cutting go quickly.  I adhered each layer of petal to the next with some liquid glue.

The leaves were made using the leaves from the largest of the  Scribble Roses by Frantic Stamper.  I cut them out of white glitter paper and backed them with clear vellum.

The final step was to adhere the word "Mother" which is from the Frantic Stamper Grand Mother / Father die set.
