Traditional Christmas Colors

Hello Everyone!
WOW!  Can you believe it is December 1?
Darlene with you today and I have a Christmas card to share with you that was created  in colors that are 'traditional' ... but (for me,) the design is far from traditional!
I love all the new dies that you can put together to create some amazingly beautiful creations to share with family and friends ... especially at holiday time.  We all love to see those beautiful holiday creations show up in our mailbox and I'm having fun creating some really SPECIAL cards for some really SPECIAL people!

The dies I've used on today creation are:

Spellbinder '5x7 Holly Frame' #S6-040 (sorry currently out of stock)

The largest die in the Spellbinder set creates the base for my 'picture frame' creation.
The ornament was die cut from red card stock then adhered to a scrap piece of white card stock and fussy cut around the ornament to give it a '2-tone' affect.
The white Garland Greenery was attached first.  Next, the ornament was popped up with dimensionals on top of the greenery die cuts and lastly the holly corner panel was adhered to the ornament.

To create the 'glass' panel that protects the ornament, I first die cut my Cheery Lynn Designs frame and adhered a panel of clear acetate to the back side of the frame with 2 sided tape.

Once the glitter was dry on my ornament panel I adhered my 'glass' frame on top by doubling up on the dimensional pop ups.

A few more holiday embellishments and it is ready for Mr. Postman.

Have you been over to the Dies R Us Store lately?
They have an all new look ... but same FABULOUS prices and selection!  Go check it out ... I'm SURE you'll find something you just can't live without!!

And, don't forget about our fun challenges!
In fact, a new challenge starts today at our Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  I hope you'll come join in the fun!
The theme this time around is:  CHRISTMAS
"White Christmas" ... OR ...  "Merry & Bright"

See you there!!
