The days are getting cooler and it's much easier to get in the mood to make Christmas cards now that the weather is changing isn't it? To help you get in the mood, I'm sharing a really fun card today. I love the look of cream or white cards. There is something so elegant about them & they are easy to make. There are many dies that will lend themselves to this type of card, but here are the ones that I used: Impression Obsession Twig Wreath, Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poinsettia and Cherry Lynn "Merry Christmas" Sentiments.
I began by deciding to do a 6" square card. After cutting that, I cut a 5 1/2" square of gold card stock for a mat. I then cut another piece of the cream card stock 5" square & embossed it for further texture. At this point, I cut 3 different wreaths & layered them on the card to give it more depth. I made 4 of the beautiful poinsettias and shaped them using a stylus. To the center of each flower, I added a tiny gold brad to finish them off & match the gold matting. Using the same gold card stock as I used for the matting, I also cut out the Merry Christmas sentiment. After adding a bow, the card was done!
This is a close up of the beautiful poinsettia you get from the Poppy Stamps die.
