Floral Love

Ann here with another Valentine card that could also be used any time of the year:

The background was made using the Darice Bold Daisy embossing folder which used to be in the Dies R Us store but is no longer available.  There are a lot of other embossing folders, however, that are in the store that could look lovely on this card.

After embossing a piece of white card stock, I then used an ink dauber and inked the entire card panel with a salmon colored ink.  I then rubbed on some gold gilding wax over the raised areas which totally covered the salmon color.  Next I used a solid heart die and cut out a heart from the middle of the panel.

From the heart that was cut away from the background panel, I cut the words "love you" so they would have the same color as the background panel.  These word dies come in a set with a bunch of other words and are my favorite word dies.  There is also another word set  that coordinates with this one, giving you endless possibilities of phrases that can be made:

The size of the font on these word dies is perfect for A2 cards.

To finish the card, I cut two of the flowers with the rounded petals from the Sue  Wilson Orange Blossom Complete Petals set, bent the leaves with tweezers and layered them, offsetting each slightly.

Remember to stop by daily to see what the other ladies on the Design Team have created.
