I hope you are having a terrific week! If you have already checked out the early posts on this blog, your head is probably swimming with new ideas for ways to use your favorite dies. I want to give you a couple of others! If you are like me,although I want them ALL, I don't have unlimited funds to spend on dies. What this means is that I try to buy dies I know I will be able to use in multiple ways. The dies I used in these two cards are perfect examples of that! I was able to make a very masculine birthday card and a very feminine birthday card using basically the same dies. For both cards I used Die-Mensions Birthday Cake, Spellbinder Elegant Ovals, & Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Background. For the feminine card, I also used Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves along with a small flower.
This is the card I made for a guy. Actually, this is being sent to my nephew! I chose dark brown for the background color so the card felt more masculine.
By just changing to brighter colors and adding a flower & leaves, the whole card is transported to a feminine birthday card! Just think of the different ways you can use these dies for ALL your birthday needs!
Check out the other fabulous dies at the Dies R Us store! I can't begin to describe all the gorgeous dies, embossing folders & stamps they are carrying! And as always, domestic orders of $35 or more ship free. Under that, it will only cost you $3.95 which is still the cheapest shipping around!
Don't forget the Dies R Us Challenge Blog too! We'd love to see you join in for a chance to win a gift certificate!
Have a wonderful week! Create something fantastic!!

ReplyDeleteI love both cards but especially like the one that you made for your nephew. Male cards are such a challenge for me and this one is GREAT! It is wonderful to see you take basically the same dies and make one so feminine and the other so masculine... GREAT job and VERY COOL!
ReplyDeleteLove that background die; it's now on my list! Great change of colors and theme!
