Time to Relax

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a card to help you relax, or perhaps give to someone who may be retiring fairly soon.

I've use a Gemini die which is really fun to work with.  Layering 3 coordinating colors of cardstock, cut to size and place the outline die in the center.  Die cut through all 3 layers at the same time.

Following the line on the die, cut the layers in half.

Realign the layers so you can see all 3 colors through the die cut and adhere each set together.  Take a stamp of choice and stamp on the top layer.

Create a card and cut the panels to fit.  Ink the edges of the panels before adhering to the card.  Using the intricate die, die cut relax from the top layer and place directly on the card in the center of the opening.  Nuvo Drops was used about the stamped images.

Since I had left over elements, I created another card.  Relax was die cut from the pink layer and placed upon the darkest layer.

Have a Magical Day

Hi everyone Steph back with another project for Dies R Us.

Using rectangle dies, die cut white cardstock.  Then place the coral die in the center and die cut to create a fun card element.

Using a background of choice, die cut it to fit behind the opening.

Using larger rectangle dies, create the layers and adhere to a white card, placing foam adhesives behind the top layers.  Stamp fairies and mushrooms with black ink and place about the panel.

Use Silver Crystal glitter drops on the wings to make them sparkle.

Christmas Treats and card

Hi everyone, Steph back with another project for Dies R Us.

I couldn't resist this lovely Tutti Designs die, so I created a candy treat box and matching card for a special someone.

I die cut the design from 5 colors of Rinea Foiled Papers.  I love the intricate die and wanted it to come alive so I pieced the design back together from the various colors of foils.

Using a wood treat box, I adhered the silver foiled design to the treat box first to use as he base of my design.  Cutting apart the other foils, I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere the blue cup, the red house, the green trees and the brown cookies.

Then I filled a cellophane treat bag with mini chocolates and tied it together with twine.  It fit perfectly inside the box.

I created a coordinating card from assorted cardstock and pattern papers making sure I had a black panel on top so it would coordinate with the treat box.  I adhered the red foiled design (minus the house that was used for the treat box) to the card.  Then I cut apart the other foils and reassembled the design using the Best Glue Ever.

Merry Christmas was stamped on silver foil with black ink and then punched out.  It was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.  Finally, I used Glitter Drops to add dimension to the top of the roof as well as to the cookies,  The cookies could easily be chocolate chip cookies or perhaps snickerdoodles, don't you think?

Thank You Floral Card

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a floral thank you card.

This card is on the larger side. When finished it's a 5"x 8" card. I am giving it by hand to someone special. However, if you create this card just make a note that you will need a larger envelope and extra postage to mail it.

Close up of the sentiment and flower

Let's get started

I start by gathering all the supplies I will need. I am using watercolor paper for my flower die cuts - however, you can use card stock.

I trimmed some white heavyweight card stock to 8"x10". Then, I scored it at 5" on the 10" side. This will be my card base. I trimmed another piece of heavyweight white card stock to 5"x 8" for my card front panel. I did trim off a 1/4" from the top and side.

Next, I added some Stick It adhesive to the watercolor paper and die cut the flowers. I then die cut 3 rectangles into my card front panel. I die cut the sentiment 3x from white card stock and once from the Pink Foil Card stock. I also embossed some white card stock for the back of the floral section for some texture.

Then, I added some Distress Oxide ink to the flowers for a pop of color. I started with stems and leaves. I used Distress Oxide in Peeled Paint and Forest Moss.

For the buds of the flowers, I used Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick.

Now, it's time to put the card together. I

I adhered the embossed panels directly to the card base.
I used the card front panel to check the placement.

Next, I added foam adhesive to the card front panel and place it onto the card base. I trimmed one of the flowers so that it would only have one flower. I then adhered the trimmed flower to one of the other flowers. Then, I added the flowers also with some foam adhesive.
As for the sentiment - I did the stacking method with my die cuts to create thick chipboard. I then adhered it to the center of the card front panel.

For finishing touches - I used some Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard on the buds of the flowers for some sparkle. I also used some Ranger Liquid Pearls in two shades of Pink for little droplets by the flowers.

Now, the card is complete.
