Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die Cards {A threefer!}

Hi friends! I hope this post finds you well! Since I have three cards to show you why don't you grab a drink and hurry back! I got seriously carried away with the Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die while making cards for the Dies R Us inspiration page; I guess I was inspired!  I hope these cards inspire you a bit as well.  Here we go:

What I Used to Make my Cards
White Card Bases
Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die
Pink, light yellow, light blue, light purple, light green and white layering card {thinner card}
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive
Dimensional Dots

I began my cards only planning on making one but as I cut out all the different colors I wanted to use I realized the negatives were too pretty to throw away so one card became three.  As I mentioned, I cut the die a total of six times using the colors listed above, in a thinner card than I would typically use.  I began working on the "hello" card first as that was the primary card I had in my mind. I kept some of the white cut outs in the panel I was going to use as the top of my card and filled in other places with the colorful die cuts I'd made.  I also layered some of the die cuts to make different flowers. That's where I got into trouble! I made so many flowers with the leftovers there was no way I could throw them out!  I even used dimensional dots on some of the flowers on the two other cards I made.

I did use a different sentiment for each card as you can see; the "hello" I used is from Hero Arts Stamp & Cut set, #DC151.  The second card, "hello summer" uses a die from Impression Obsession, Hello Summer, #DIE688-B and finally the "miss you" card uses another Altenew die {Dies R Us doesn't have the Hero Arts set or the Altenew word die at the moment, but there are plenty other words dies in stock to choose from}.  I also used a circle of blue paper that I had on my desk for the hello summer card to help me make the wreath.

Here are pictures of each card:

"Miss You" Card

I hope my cards inspire you to get some die cuts and start creating! If you don't have the dies you want, or need, to make your vision come to life please take a look at what is available to play with at Dies R Us! Thanks SO much and see you soon! Christi

Floral Fan Congratulations

 Hello Friends,

Diane here to share with you some Dies R Us inspiration.  I have a lovely little floral fan card today.  This beautiful fan die can be used for any occasion including Birthdays, Mother's day, Sympathy, Thinking of you or maybe even a Wedding Invitation.  I used the beautiful "Floral Fan" die from Tutti Designs available now at Dies R Us.

The paper collection I used for this card is Ephemera Queen by Graphic 45 and the pretty little red flowers are from Little Birdie Crafts.  This card measures 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  This is an A2 sized card. The sentiment "Congratulations" is from a "Lawn Fawn" stamp set available from Dies R Us.  A must have in your crafty stash.

Here is a close up of my card:

This is a quick and simple card to make.  All I did was select some back ground paper, cutting it a little smaller than my card front, glued it to the front of my card. Then I cut the fan die twice and adhered them together. I layered some solid blue cardstock behind the fan die and fussy cut it.  Then I added a border from the designer paper and adhered it to the bottom of the card.  I stamped my sentiment in black ink, cut it out, and added it to the card.  Then I just added some flowers, pearls and a bow.  This was a fun quick card to make.

Marigolds from Marsha

Hi. Marsha here and I am one of the newbies in the Dies R Us Inspirational Design Team.  I am so happy to be a part of these talented women and hope I will be able to inspire you with some of the projects I share.

For my card I used Elizabeth Craft dies.  I love how well they cut and wow, do they ever have some wonderful dies. This Marigold Die set is from the Garden Notes Collection.
The flower petal dies are two sizes which allows you to cut and stack as many as you want.  I did only two and three layers because I did not want the card too thick for mailing.  There are three dies for leaves; one with a stem and two other separate leaves of different sizes.

After cutting all the pieces, I used Copic markers to put color into the center of the flowers.
The next step is to "form" the flowers.  There is a great you tube video by Elizabeth Crafts on how to put these flowers together but basically work with each petal, molding them, stacking them, rolling the center and gluing all the parts together.  I used two styluses and tweezers to accomplish this.

After assembling the flowers, I arranged them onto an oval cut with one of the ovals that come in the set of Elizabeth Crafts Stitched Ovals, sponging the edge with a bit of yellow and orange ink.

The beautiful embossed paper is from a DCWV Citrus mat stack.
Ribbon is the last of this kind in my stash.

Up, Up And Away!

Good morning ~ Birgit here with you today.
Masculine cards can be challenging for me so when I saw the Hot Air Balloons from Elizabeth Craft Designs, I just knew this would be perfect for a masculine card.

I started by cutting a Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud die out of a piece of scrap paper and using it as a stencil to create the sky scene using distress ink and a blending tool.

Next, I cut two mountain ranges using Impression Obsession Mountain Landscape Layers and layered them over the cloud background.

I cut the Elizabeth Craft Designs Hot Air Balloons out of Soft Finish Cardstock and added color using distress inks and a blending tool and assembled the balloons.  I used a computer generated sentiment and cut it using an Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Fishtail Banner and finished the card off.

Here's a list of products I used that can be found at Dies R Us

You're So Tweet!

Good Monday Morning!

Donna Phelan here again with another card to share with you!

You know I love a pretty tag.....and I just adore a pretty tag ON a card!

I used the Die-Namics, Stitched Traditional Tags, layered in Brown and Pale Blue card stock as my base.  Then I created my little garden scene complete with birdhouses, fence and feathered friends.  I die cut my Picket Fence by Amy Design in White card stock.....because every house, bird or otherwise, needs a little white picket fence!

Using the sweetest little Bird House set from Paper Smooches I die cut card stock in several different colors.  I  also added some texture to one using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  Laying out each piece, I adhered them and topped with my fence.  Of course, it needed something more.  Enter the handy dandy Foliage 2 dies also by Paper Smooches.  I must say that these particular dies are VERY versatile!  I have used them in flower bouquets, as grasses, like here, I have even made a wreath using only them.....lots of them!  They really are one of my 'go to' dies....a MUST have in any craft room!

Another little Die-Namics Stitched Traditional Tag, sentiment stamped in Real Red ink, topped with 2 Adhesive Pearls.

Accents include, Eyelet, Button, Twine and a Natural Fiber Ribbon in Green.  The large tag is popped up using 3 Dimensionals.

This could be used for a New Home, Thank You or All Occasion card.  I think the recipient would enjoy this piece of Happy Mail!

Here's what I used:

Enjoy~~
