Nine Patch & Leaf Thank you Card

Hello Dies R Us Fans,

Diane here to share a sweet Fall Thank you card using the Impression Obsession Scalloped Nine Patch die along with the Fall Mini Leaves die.  Fall is my very favorite time of year.  I love walking outside and feeling the crisp, fresh, cool, clean air.  I enjoy all the colors of Fall too.  The deep red, sun-kissed orange, bright yellow and all tones of brown... Amazing!

Come see what I created today...

Card Recipe:

This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (A2 size)  I began with a white 110 lb card base measuring 4 1/4 x 11 and scored it in half at 5 1/2.

Then I selected lots of Fall solid colored cardstock from my scrap bin.  Using the Mini Leaves die, DIE095-D by Impression Obsession I cut my leaves.

Next, I selected my back ground paper for my card.  I decided on a navy with white poka dots.  Then using the Scalloped Nine Patch die, DIE934-ZZ, I cut it out of 110 lb white cardstock and the navy paper.  This die cuts out the outer frame, the window frame and all the little squares.  I didn't use the white little squares, but instead replaced them with the navy squares using Scotch tape on the underside.  I kept the white two frames together using Scotch tape also.  Next, I popped up the Nine Patch using some foam tape.

Then I added all the pretty die cut leaves in the center of some of the windows.

Next, I stamped my sentiment.  I used "fired brick" Distress Ink along with the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings stamp.  Cut my sentiment into a strip, added a flag tail and adhered it to my card.  Using a couple of the larger leaves, I adhered them to the front of my sentiment and finished it with a golden sequin.

That's it.  An easy fun card to make.

Double Heart Card

 Hello Friends,

Diane here today to share with you some Dies R Us inspiration.  I have made a pretty little shaker card using the Impression Obsession (io) die " I Love You". This little die is fantastic!  There are multiple ways to cut and use this die.  I like how it cuts the outline of the heart and then also cuts the "I Love You" separate and also gives you the negative.  Take note you also get the tiny little hearts from the "O's"  O so precious!

This is such a useful and easy die to work with.  I was even able to cut foam with one pass in my machine to make the shaker.  I had fun creating this card for you today.

The papers are from the new Prima "with Love" collection.  The ribbons are from "Really Reasonable Ribbon" and the flowers are from "Little Birdie".

Not only did I use the Impression Obsession die from Dies R Us, I also used the boarder die "Mini Gemini Dies, Indus from Creative Expression by Sue Wilson; all from Dies R Us!!!

Thinking of You

Hello crafty friends,

Mary Moisan here today with my first project for the Dies R Us Design Team.  I'm so happy to join this wonderful team of talented designers, especially during this time when something as simple as sitting down with dies, stamps and paper gives my mind a much needed break from the outside world.

I'm starting my term with a "thinking of you" card...

I started by picking some pattern papers (Jen Hadfield, my bright life by American Crafts) and the dies I wanted to work with.  From a gold paper (DCWV Foiled Cardstock Stack) I die cut the "Thinking of You" from the IO DIE174 Greetings die set and several of the leaves from the Spellbinders Cuppa Love die set... this set is not currently in stock, but the IO Tea Cocoa would work nicely for making the cup stack.  For a different look, the ECD Summer Drink set would also be a great option.

Alternative design idea... glue several "Thinking of You" sentiment onto card stock strips and stick them into the cup stacks instead of the leaves.
