Beautiful Couple

 Hello Friends,

Diane here with a new card for inspiration.  I am happy to share with you a lovely card using a few fabulous dies from Dies R Us.  This card can be used as an Engagement card, Wedding announcement, Congratulations Wedding or maybe even a Happy Wedding Anniversary card.  I am using Cross Stitch Nesting Hearts and the Fancy Dancing Couple dies from Tutti Designs available at Dies R Us.

I am really please with how this card turned out and it was so easy with the Tutti dies from Dies R Us.  This card measures 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 (US Standard A2 sized card).  I used black card stock for my base.  I cut it at 4 1/4 X 11 and scored it at 5 1/2 to make a top fold card.  The background paper is a Graphic 45 Journaling card from the new "Elegance Collection".  I took some pink paper from the Graphic 45 Elegance patterns and solids and cut the middle sized Cross Stitch Heart.  Then using the Dancing Couple die, I cut it out from Gold cardstock.  For the small heart, I took some of the Elegance patterned paper and glued the Couple's die to the paper making sure it covered the heart.  Then I fussy cut around the small heart.  I use the same process for the dress.  This time I took some white glitter paper and I glued the couple to the white glitter paper.  I then fussy cut around the outline of her dress.  I added some tiny flat back pearls to her vail.  To finish the front of the card I added the "Beautiful" sentiment from the Graphic 45 "Elegance" die cut assortment pack.

To finish the inside of my card, I took a Graphic 45 Journaling card, one with lines, and place it on the inside of the card to have a place to write my message.  I hope you enjoyed this post today.  Be sure to visit Die R Us for these dies and many others that are available.

Creating a Pop-up Card

Hello, Mandi from MJ's Kraze, here again. Last week, I shared with you are love card and today, I will be showing you how to use die cuts on the inside of your card with a simple pop-up feature.

First off cut liner card base a 1/4" smaller than your card base. Here I did a folded 5 1/4"x 4" so it fits an A2 card. I wanted two pop-up features so I did 4 horizontal cuts along the fold, 2 cuts are about 1" and the other 2 are about 3/4". Then connect the matching cuts with a vertical scoreline.
Push the two pop-ups in so it looks like this. Adhere cardstock liner to your card base.
When it comes to adding the die cuts, you want to adhere to one side of the folded mechanism so the fold is free to move. I used the lovely butterfly dies from Jeanine's Art.  I had one die-cut on the right side of the top fold and the bottom fold it is on the left. To tie the front card design to the inside, I added some of the Tim Holtz Funky Floral die cuts from Sizzix to the writing area. Here is what the inside of the card looks like.
Now let's look back to the outside. See how decorating the inside can make a handmade card look even more special.

Sweet Love Card

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a lovely and easy Valentine's Day card or just a love card.

I only used dies and a bit of ink to create this card - which makes it easy to make multiples if needed.

Here's the card I created.

I gathered all the dies, cardstock and specialty paper. I die cut all the components for the card.

I then used Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage to color the stems of the blooms. Next, I used Distress Oxide in Tattered Rose for the buds.

I trimmed one of the buds off the stem. I will use this stem for my hearts.
I  adhered the hearts to the stem.

Next, I adhered the lattice to the pink cardstock panel.
Now, I am ready to adhere the blooms to the panel.

I start by tucking the first bloom at the bottom left of the panel. Then I follow with the heart buds and then I finally trim and tuck the last bloom.

Next, I adhered the sentiments die cuts to the top right-hand corner of the panel. I then adhered the card front panel to the card base.

For finishing touches, I adhered a few Jewels in red, pink and white.
Now, the card is complete.
