Adriana Pop Up Easel Card

Hi everyoneSteph Ackerman here today wishing you a Happy Autumn.

Autumn is my time of year.  I love it.

This Poppy die was perfect to create a wonderful Fall themed card.

This die comes with everything you need to create a Pop Up Easel Card.  It even folds flat to fit in a standard envelope.

Creating a card from green cardstock with the base die and the second layer, I then die cut the top layer from a script paper.   I inked this layer with Distress Inks in green, brown and red to simulate the colors of fall.

Using oval dies, I die cut 2 layers, stamping the phrase on the top layer.
The card was assembled with foam adhesives between the layers for dimension.

Wishing and Dreaming

Hi everyoneSteph Ackerman here today wishing and dreaming and hoping for better days ahead.

Create a card from white cardstock.  Using the largest of the stitched scalloped dies, die cut blue cardstock and adhere it to the card.  Die cut the 2nd largest of the stitched rectangle dies from white cardstock.

Use torn paper to create the hillside levels with Speckled Egg ink.  Stamp the full fir tree slightly off center.  Stamp just the tree top off the right side of the panel.  Stamp the Forest Spruce along the left side of the card and a few branches along the right side.

Place a circle on the tree and use marigold ink to create a bit of shading around the tree.
Stamp the phrase on white cardstock and die cut it with the smallest rectangle die. I wanted it a bit smaller so I realigned the die and cut the edge so I retained the stitching.

Using a glue pen, add some adhesive around the hillsides and on the trees, then pour on silver glitter.  Tap off the excess glitter and allow to dry.

Thank you fairy much

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here sharing fairy wishes.

Using Lawn Fawn Slimline dies, die cut orange and white cardstock in both sizes.  Create a coordinating card from gray cardstock.

Add color to the top panel with Distress Oxide Inks creating a hillside and sky.

Stamp and die cut the fairy, fairy house and fairy flowers.  Color with Copic Markers and place on the card.  Stamp the mini mushrooms on the hillside and surround the images with the mini stars.

Stamp the phrase across the bottom of the panel.
Assemble the card.

Happy Spring!

Hi all, it's Christi here with another spring card. Since moving I have found {and am STILL finding!} a bunch of craft and card making items that I'd forgotten all about.  Some of it needs new homes and some of it needs to be used! I found this package of white flowers I had gotten from the Dollar Tree ages ago and that is how this card started!

What I Used to Make my Card:
5" x 7" white card base
DCWV 180 Floral Fair Cardstock Stack {available but not on the DCWV site}
Tutti Rose Frame Die, #TUTTI-178
Tutti Birdies Trio, #TUTTI-102
Distress Oxide Inks in Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass, Tattered Rose and Brushed Corduroy
Lawn Fawn Tree Before 'n Afters Stamp Set, #LF2018
Picket Fence Studio Blending Brushes, 6 pack
White Flowers from Dollar Tree {any small white flowers will work}
Die-Namics Stitched Fishtail Banners

The Dies I Used
Products I Used

As I said, finding these flowers inspired me to actually USE them, so I started going through my dies and found the two from Tutti Designs that sing spring to me.  Instead of deciding which one to use, I decided to use both; I like how the Birdies Trio fits in the Rose Frame.  Next came the paper I was going to use; I had previously looked through my patterned paper and pulled out a few sheets I liked.  Luckily, in the same paper pad, there was a yellow shade of paper that matched my chosen design wonderfully.  I started the card by cutting the frame out of my previously picked paper, then the birds out of the matching yellow.  One thing to remember when using dies from across the
Detail Close Up
pond, they may not fit our standard card sizes, so I moved to a 5" x 7" card base and centered the frame and birds and glued them to the base.  I colored the flowers with the Distress Oxide Inks {I love the fact that you can make these inks as dark or as light as you want to; I inked the flowers with a small blending brush until the color matched the patterned paper!}, then cleaned off the center gems so they'd sparkle. Lastly, I finished off the card with the sentiment that I had stamped onto white card, using the Brushed Corduroy ink,  and then cut with a stitched fishtail banner.

These colors are outside of my comfort zone, I typically struggle with pastel colors! This year I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and experiment with making projects that include colors, techniques, and subjects I am not comfortable with {I am actually going to USE the items I've purchased to make a light up card!} and I would love it if you'd join me on this journey!  Thanks SO much :)

Fondly,
Christi

Spring BIrd House

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here spreading happiness with a spring slim line card.

I wanted a spring card and since I have lots of 6x6 paper pads, I decided to combined 2 panels.  I tore the edge of the green panel and placed it on top of the floral paper.

Using the largest Torn Edged Die, I die cut the panel and then also die cut a white panel to create the frame.

Inking the panels with brown ink, I placed the panels on an orange card.

Next, I die cut the birch tress and also die cut and assembled the bird house.

I also die cut the flowers and leaves that come with the bird house set.  As you can see, I left my pieces intact as they are small.  This way I don't lose them!

I used the Birch Tree dies to use as the stake for the bird house, then I placed the bird house on top and added all the embellishments.  Then I added a phrase across the stake.

Thanks for stopping by.
