I love all my dies, but I have a few very favorite dies
and one happens to be the
I remember when this die came out how excited I was to be able
to cut an exquisite doily in any color I wanted!
This is the die I used today to "build" my card on!

I made a few Roses using Spellbinders Spiral Blossom Four.
I colored these with PanPastels, and brushed on glitter.

The leaves under the Roses are from
I also added a bit of white "greenery using

Another of my favorite dies I purchased recently is the
these I tucked in with the Roses.

I finished with a sentiment stamped on my new,
all time favorite die Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers.
I can't say enough good things about this set,
it is fabulous!!

A Happy Hello!

Welcome back, friends!  And a happy hello!!

It's hard to believe that April is almost over and May is just around the corner!  I thought a sweet little card to celebrate spring would be in order today.  Like a lot of you, I enjoy sending cheery little cards to friends who need perked up!  The minute I saw this digi from Tiddly Inks, I knew it would go for one of those cards.  In keeping with the flowers & butterflies in the image, I wanted my dies to reflect the same theme so I went with Memory Box Fairytale Flower Frame and Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterflies Small #2.  These dies will become part of your "go-to" dies that you use again & again & again! We also have dozens of other gorgeous butterfly dies as well if you have favorites of your own you want to use.

Although I don't normally make a lot of lavender or purple cards, I'm glad I got out of my comfort zone with this one as I LOVE the color!  I hope the recipient does as well!

Head on over to the store as we are adding so many new products even I can't keep up with them!  And trust me, I am ALWAYS checking out the new products!  lol

Don't forget to join in on the Dies R Us Challenges on our Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift certificate to shop!

I'll see you next week!  Happy crafting!!

Butterfly Birthday . . .

Hello Dies R Us Friends!
Darlene here with today's inspiration card.
I love, love, love how this card came together!
ALL die cuts with the exception of the sentiments!
QUICK ... EASY ... and BEAUTIFUL!!

Inside

Here are the dies I used on this 5x7 card:
Creative Expressions Sue Wilson 'Greek Island' Corner, Border & Tag  CED5102
(sorry, no longer in stock)

Instead of using a solid card stock for my die cut background panel, I decided to use a sheet of designer paper from the Paper Studio 'Kirby Teesdale Studio' paper pack.  And so glad I did ... it looks awesome!

The silhouette portion of my butterfly was die cut from raspberry card stock then I sponged white craft ink from the center out as well as the outer edges before overlaying with the black panel.

It truly doesn't get much easier than this card yet it looks like it took a lot of time to create!  I hope you have found inspiration in my card today and remember you can stop in for a new inspirational card creation from the team every day Monday through Friday!

We would love to have you come join in our Dies R Us Challenges also!  There is a new challenge posted on the 1st and 15th of each month and ONE LUCKY WINNER will received a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store!  Plus our design team ladies choose their TOP 3 FAVORITES and those lucky three will receive a badge to display proudly on their personal blogs!  PLEASE come check us out and then join in the fun!

 Until next time ...

Sing Your Heart Out!

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is this little rock star! I had the perfect paper & die to showcase this fun image.

Dies used include:

Simply B Stamps Elizabeth Morris

I've coloured the Simply B Stamps Elizabeth Morris with my Copics and framed her with the Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets 1. Keeping it simple, I've layered her onto some funky 'cassette tape' paper, added some simple embellishment by double cutting the Frantic Stamper Musical Score, added a splash of sequins and framed my sentiment with Cheery Lyn Designs Tags 1.

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team. Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

Love Is a Four Legged Word

Happy Thursday, Diane with you today!

I had a bit of "happy" mail the other day with some new
dies from Dies R Us!!

I have been "hearting" the "stitched" dies
and could hardly contain myself when they arrived.

I used Cheery Lynn Designs Horizon Fishtail Banners
for the background.

Then came my new Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers!
I cut two of these and stacked one on the other.

I cut the Graphic 45 Raining cats and Dogs image using
Memory Box Studio Circle Layers.

A few images from the same paper were "fussy cut",
then popped up for a bit of 3D effect.

To finish, I simply added a paper bow
using Cheery Lynn Designs Pretty Bows.

Thank you for visiting with me today.....
come back tomorrow to see what beautiful project
Alicia has to inspire you!

A Parade of Elephants

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

From the title of today's post, I'm sure you can tell you are in for a LOT of elephants! I have to confess, I had only intended to make a single card with the Tattered Lace Elephant I purchased last week from Dies R Us.  But once I cut it in blue, I had to cut it in pink.....then in green...and red...and yellow......you get the idea!  I kept thinking of so many ways to make a baby card with this adorable little guy I ended up making 4 cards before I finally stopped for air!  On this first card, I went with just elephants in primary colors to show the true beauty of this die.  (Think of decorating your gift bag or wrapping paper in these same elephants!!)

Next, I reverted to my old love of "lacy" baby cards and added lacy dies for the next cards which gave them a whole new look!  This first card was made with the Cheery Lynn Dutch Scallop Square which was one of the other dies I purchased along with this elephant. LOVE it!

I had another new die I had to try out next, so these cards were made with the Spellbinders Romantic Rose die.  (Another purchase I am thrilled with!!)  I used the 3 large dies on the pink version and omitted the largest die for the blue version for a totally different look!

I apologize for sharing so many cards today, but I wanted to show you just how versatile dies can be. Try to think of all the wonderful ways you can use each of them.  Mix & match them for totally different looks! You are only limited by your imagination!

Check out the Dies R Us store for all the rest of our awesome dies! And don't forget we also carry fabulous stamps & embossing folders as well!

Be sure you check out the rest of our fabulous design team to see what they are up to also!  I'll see you again next Wednesday.  Until then, go create something wonderful!!!

I've got that Lovin' Feeling . . .

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene with you today and I don't know, but I must be in a LOVING mood this month!  It seems all my DRU cards have been geared in that direction!  LOL!  Oh well ... I guess it could be worse and, we can all use a little more LOVE these days!

Believe it or not, this was a 10 minute card creation!
And that time was used just doing the die cutting and adhering!

Dies used:
Spellbinder D-Lites 'Victoria Corners' (S2-134)
(sorry ... no longer in stock ... but there are many other corner dies available in the store that would work beautifully)

I choose a red card base and black/white striped design paper background to showcase these beautiful dies.  The 'Queen of Hearts' was cut twice ... once in black and once in red in order to have the red heart that could be popped up in the center.

And, just for a 'pearl' accent I decided to add White Liquid Pearls into a couple of the opening in the 'Queen of Heart' die design (see closeup below).

TIP:  I have found that the best adhesive to use for these more intricate word dies is E6000 Spray Adhesive.  I use an old FedEx box to apply my spray while holding the word diecut with a pair of tweezers.  Works great!

If you've not visited the Dies R Us store yet, please pop over ... lots of die companies to choose from, great prices, awesome shipping rates.   Click and See for yourself!

Well that's about it for me today!
I hope you have found inspiration in today's creation!
Remember for more die cutting card inspiration, stop back each day Monday through Friday when my team mates and I will have something new & exciting to share!

Hope you'll also come join in our challenge fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog where the current challenge is "April Showers Bring May Flowers" (use homemade flowers).  There is a vast array of flower making dies available at the store ... come check it out!

Till next time . . .

Best Wishes

Happy Thursday my Dies R Us friends!!!

My card I am sharing with you today seems to scream Spring!
It was  very fast to make using mostly "snippets" from my scrap bag
and two  fun dies!!

First from a green paper and a second time from a blue paper.
I cut the bird off the blue paper
and paper pieced him to the one on the green paper,.....easy!

I cut a birdhouse using
and hung it off the branch.

To finish off I added a twine bow to the branch
and a stamped sentiment I fussy cut out.

Like I said, it was simple, but I think it makes a pretty
Spring statement!

Don't forget to stop tomorrow to see some more beautiful inspiration,
and why not join in our Dies R Us challenge.....
we would love to have you!

Check out the HUGE selection of dies in the Dies R Us Store....

Read all about it!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I hope you are all having a great week & ready for a birthday card & a great idea for displaying a sentiment!
My card today started out with a digi from Mo Manning that has always been one of my favorites, especially for a guy card.  After coloring him, I fussy cut him and began to build a little scene using the following dies:

Poppy Stamps Antique Lamp Post, Impression Obsession Cat Die Set, Impression Obsession Bench, Dee's Distinctively Tree Base 2, Dee's Distinctively Tree Toppers, Memory Box Puffy Clouds, and Poppy Stamps Classic Ribbons.

I originally intended to put only the beautiful antique lamp post in this scene, but when I realized I had no clever way to add the sentiment, I got creative!  Cutting another lamp post, I trimmed off the light at the top to create an "arm" I could hang my sentiment from!  That is the beauty of dies!  They are so easily trimmed to create endless versions according to your needs.

I hope I've given you some ideas today.  Be sure you visit all the other wonderful design team members too! And be sure to check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift certificate to the fabulous store!

Until next week, happy creating!!

Forever ...

Hello Dies R Us Fans!
Darlene here today to share a new inspiration card creation.
I seem to be on a wedding card kick so I have another wedding themed card to share with you today.

That one word ... FOREVER ...very powerful!

The dies I've used today are:
Spellbinder Classic Hearts

My main die (Sophia's Heart) was die cut on light yellow linen card stock then I clipped all the little connecting pieces to the 'inner heart circle' so I could sponge with a darker shade of yellow ink for dimension.  I popped up a die cut heart (which was also sponged with ink) and adhered the FOREVER across the center.  PERFECT!

Please be sure to pop over to the Dies R Us Store and check out all the fabulous dies available for your purchase.  Dies R Us has new product coming in all the time and their shipping rates are VERY reasonable! A fabulous One-Stop-Shopping place for your die cutting needs!

And, don't forget about the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  New challenges posted on the 1st and 15th of each month.  YOU could be our next prize winner!  Please come check it out!

Vintage High Tea

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us was requested for a Bride's High Tea, and I had the perfect die for that: Poppy Stamps Teacup Stack!

Materials used include:
Magnolia Little London Afternoon Tea Stamp
Spellbinders Grand Circles
Magnolia Little London Afternoon Tea Poppy Stamps Teacup Stack

I coloured the Magnolia Little London Afternoon Tea stamp with Copics and fussy cut around the image. The card base was made using the Spellbinders Grand Circles layered with different sizes, which were edged and distressed and layered with lace and pearls.

Magnolia Little London Afternoon Tea

For the Poppy Stamps Teacup Stack I traced the die onto some cardstock and fussy cut around the base before die cutting in white. I then paper pieced some cut outs in different designer papers to create the layered stack. The card was finished with some Frantage and flowers.

Dancing Poppies

Hello, Diane with you today!
Are you feeling the "springtime" weather yet?
Spring means gardens and flowers to me .....
and flower dies
are one of my favorite to work with.
There are so many different ones to choose from...
from simple to fancy!

I choose a more "simple" die to work with today.
Dancing Poppies by Wild Rose Studio.
I cut the die twice and layered one poppy over the other
creating a bit of a "shadow effect".

For the background I used Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles that I
embossed with a Darice  Butterflies embossing folder.

I stamped the word "POPPIES" on a
Cheery Lynn Designs Sentiment Frame #1.
A "snippet" of ribbon was added to finish!

Thank you for visiting and don't forget we have a challenge blog.....
we would love to have you join us there as well!!

Those "Pesky" Guy Cards!

Hello, again!

With spring in the air & the grass turning green in some areas of the country, this is a perfect time to share one of those "pesky" guy cards that we all struggle with!  If you are like me, you would rather make 10 cards to go to a gal than one card to go to a guy!  Finding something that will impress a guy is just not easy, but I think this card may be the answer!

I began by stamping this cute golfer from Art Impressions & cutting him out to be the focal point to this cute scene which was created with the following dies:

                                               Impression Obsession Bench
                                               Memory Box Puffy Clouds
                                               Memory Box Mini Golf Carts
                                               Tattered Lace Panarama Tree Silhouette

By the way, the Tattered Lace Panarama Tree Silhouette comes with TWO tree lines!  I only used one for this scene, but I think you are probably already thinking about all the scenes YOU can create with them!

Be sure to check out the Dies R Us store for all the amazing dies in stock!  If we are ever out of the one you want, just add your name to the wait list & you will be notified once it is back in stock.

Don't forget to join in the Dies R Us Challenge for a chance to win a gift card too! New challenges begin on the first & fifteenth of each month.

Until next week, have a fantastic week!

There are so many beautiful wedding themed dies available at our Dies R Us store you'll want to be sure to pop over and find exactly what you are looking for to create all your special occasion cards.

The dies used on this first card are as follows:
Tattered Lace 'Kensington Corner'

After die cutting my "I DO" couple from white card stock, I colored them using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I also added 'pearls' to the bride using White Liquid Pearls.

For my second card, I've used the same Cheery Lynn Designs ' I DO' couple but decided to keep them in 'silhouette' form by die cutting them from black card stock and keep the design more clean and simple.

Inside
The additional dies used for this second card creation are:
Marianne 'Love Birds' LR0298 (sorry not currently carried at DRU)

I hope you've enjoyed today's wedding creations and find inspiration in my designs.  It's fun to use the same die cut in various ways.  Such as I have done today.  You can see more details on my blog HERE.

HB2U

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is a sweet little birthday card made with a vintage feel.

Dies used include:

I colour this Art by Miran 'Party Time Patti' image with Copics before framing her with the Spellbinders Belly Band One. I distressed the edges and added some Frantage before 'threading' the red strip through the band. I also used one of the smaller Spellbinders Belly Band One as my tag for my alphabet stickers.

To replicate the balloons in the image I used a couple of the balloons out of Xcut Dies Large Balloons. This is a great dies set as there are 6 different shaped balloon plus a couple of strings and balloon bows too.

There is a brand new challenge which has started over at the Challenge Blog. Challenge #23 is 'One for the Boys' challenge. So anything masculine and manly is the go! Be sure to check it out all of the exceptional DT creations from the talented Team A. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die in your challenge entry.

Butterfly Frenzy

Happy Thursday to You!!
Diane here with you today to share a bit of
"Butterfly Frenzy".

I have been making lots of detailed cards lately
and decided to do a more "simpler" card.
I have a great addiction to all the butterfly dies
Dies R Us carries and I think it has become my goal
to own them all..LOL!

This card was simply made with a scrap of designer paper
and a narrow embossing folder down each side.
Now the fun part, the butterflies!!

I used two PoppyStamp dies for these,
One fits exactly over the other for a 3D effect like I did,
or you can opt to glue them down as one piece.

I used Origami papers for the Murana Butterfly
and just plain card stocks for the Samirah Butterfly,
just gluing the centers, then adding a gem to cover the glue!

I encourage you to head on over and peek at all the dies
in store...if you see an item "Out of Stock", you will also see
a place that says "put me on the waiting" list, just click on that
and submit...it's that easy!!

Don't forget to see what the rest of the Design Team has for you
every Monday through Friday...
and of course our weekly challenge at the
where you could win a gift voucher, just for joining in!!

Bring on the Chocolate!

Hi, friends!

With Easter Sunday just days away, I wanted to add one more Easter card for any of you still needing a final card or two.  This one is super easy to make & really sweet!  I used the following dies on it:  Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, Impression Obsession Chocolate Bunny, Memory Box Bountiful Basket, & Impression Obsession Easter Greetings.  I also used the Sizzix Butterfly Lattice Embossing folder, which we carry as well.

I LOVE this Memory Box basket!  It's perfect for so many cards and creates a beautiful basket embossing when cut.  You can fill it with flowers for a totally different look.

Like some of you, I have enough paper to stock a small store, so I used some of the Easter paper I had in my stash & simply cut eggs from it.  That is a real time saver, especially for a last minute card.

To make the beautiful sentiment really pop, I cut it with slightly darker pink and then again in white to create the shadow.

Head on over to the store & see what you can find for your next card or scrapbook page!  The choices are endless & the prices are the lowest around!

Be sure you check out the talented designers who share ideas Monday through Friday every week and use some of those ideas to play along with our Dies R Us Challenge which begins on the first & fifteenth of each month!

I'll see you again next week!  Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!
